A Welcome from Principal Mrs Tracey Gray

Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Frederick Irwin Anglican School!  We are a Kindergarten to Year 12 Anglican Mandurah school situated in Meadow Springs and Halls Head. Whether you are already part of our vibrant community or new to Frederick Irwin Anglican School, I welcome you! I feel honoured to be the Principal of this wonderful school and I look forward to welcoming you and your family to our community.

Frederick Irwin Anglican School is a unique learning environment offering high-quality Anglican Education. We offer Kindergarten to Year 12 at Meadow Springs and Kindergarten to Year 6 at Halls Head. Students are given a broad range of opportunities and experiences to develop their skills across a range of academic, performing arts, sport, service learning and co-curricular activities. As an Anglican school, we foster academic endeavours and strive to develop the social, emotional, physical and spiritual lives of our students so they can make a difference in the lives of others through the opportunities they enjoy. Our Christian approach is invitational, incarnational and interactive.  In our schools we discover and enhance our Anglican identity through :

Faith – we affirm our faith in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Reason – we value biblical theology as intellect and an academic endeavour.  We cultivate reason, through critical thinking and respectful discourse.

Worship – this is a key element in our schools.  We express our worship through reading the scriptures, singing, discussing and praying.

Inclusion – our schools are diverse places.  We are welcoming and accept all people.  We embrace those who practice other faiths or none at all.  We are a learning community and seek to learn and understand.

Character and service – through serving others we develop our character. We understand that through relationship we serve each other and learn how to treat each other showing care, compassion, love and forgiveness.

Research shows us that students flourish when the relationship between home and school is strong, and we pride ourselves on the partnership we have with families. Many of the current school parents were Frederick Irwin Anglican School students themselves.

What makes our school truly special is our dedicated staff, who go above and beyond, providing quality teaching and demonstrating genuine care for each student, celebrating their unique gifts. Our grounds, facilities and infrastructure are meticulously cared for, showing a sense of pride by each staff member.

My vision is for each child to flourish through a sense of purpose and belonging, enabling them to achieve their potential, develop their gifts and have a heart for making a difference to others. The vision is shown through four pillars;

  • Relationships – developing positive relationships through compassion, care and a sense of belonging
  • Mastery – providing quality academic success for every student through a range of pathways
  • Service – fostering a heart for others and looking at ways to make a difference across the community
  • Community – participating and contributing to the life of the school, church, community and the world as a whole.

These pillars complement our school values that are fostered throughout the school of; Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Compassion, Courage, Inclusion.

Frederick Irwin Anglican School has been providing high-quality education for over 33 years. As a Mandurah school, we are excited for the future and ensuring that we develop our students to be the best versions of themselves. I encourage you to visit our strategic plan by clicking here.
