FIAS 7 is a newly formed team made up of Year 8s and Year 9s.
In our first few training sessions you could hear a pin drop, making our main goal for the grading rounds for them to use their voices both in the pre-game cheer and calling for the ball during the game.
Last week when I was waiting for the team to arrive at training, I saw them walking up to the courts together, the full team laughing and talking amongst themselves, it was so nice to see how comfortable and accepting they had become of each other, and it spilled over into our training session.
This weekend's game they played like a team and smashed so many goals (especially that pre-game cheer!)
I am super excited to see their development over this season, such a lovely bunch of girls!
