Frederick Irwin Anglican School Uniform Shop has developed a new system to allow our community who have sold secondhand uniform items through the Uniform Shop to receive a store credit, which can be utilised to purchase uniform items via the existing online ordering process from 1 October 2024.
This customer-friendly system not only facilitates secondhand transactions but enhances engagement and loyalty with our community through utilising these credits for online orders.
This is a school-based procedure in regard to Second-hand Uniform Payments – ‘Sustainable Shopping Credit Rewards’.
Shop Green, Save Green – turn your second-hand uniform items into credit for future online orders!
How It Works
- Customers bring their second hand School uniform items into the Uniform Shop for evaluation of the item. Unaccepted items will not be returned, they are donated to an International Charity.
- When quality secondhand uniform items are traded with the School, a store credit will be provided to the customer that can be used towards their next online purchase. This will make shopping more sustainable and rewarding for families.
- Once the items are sold, customers will receive credit of 50% of the secondhand selling price. The store credits will be applied to the customers’ account enabling these credits to be utilised for purchases on the Uniform Shop online platform.
- Store Credits will have a 5-year expiration date.
- If all the students in a family leave the school, the Uniform Shop can be contacted to process the outstanding credit or after 2 years any credit amount is donated to the school.
- Currently we are only able to offer this for online purchases, but in-store credits are being developed by Shopify for us.
Integration with Online Orders
- Customers can apply their credits during checkout when making purchases online, by clicking the box at ‘Payment’ to Apply Store Credit to reduce the online purchase amount.
- A customer can view their store credit balance in their account details when they're logged into their customer account.
