Frederick Irwin Anglican School would like to again congratulate all students from the Class of 2017 for their excellent results in the recent ATAR examinations.
Special congratulations go to Jack Richardson for a Certificate of Excellence for Media Production and Analysis. (Certificates of Excellence are awarded to eligible students who are in the top 0.5 per cent of candidates based on the examination mark).
Our highest performing courses (based on % of students who achieved WACE course score of 75 or more) in WACE course in 2017 were Engineering Studies and Media Production and Analysis.
From the 130 students who sat the ATAR examinations in 2017, we are proud of the following results:
• 5 students achieved an ATAR of 98.0 or above
• 25 students achieved an ATAR between 90.0 and 97.95
• 35 students achieved an ATAR between 80.0 and 89.90
• 28 students achieved an ATAR between 70.0 and 79.85
The median ATAR for 2017 was 80.00
These results indicate the overall strength and academic depth of the group and they give our students a large range of choices for tertiary studies.

(A Certificate of Merit or Certificate of Distinction is awarded to each eligible student who, in their last three consecutive years of senior secondary WACE enrolment, achieves: Certificate of Merit 150–189 points and Certificate of Distinction 190–200 points).
