Dear Parents and Carers
The first weeks of Term 1 have whirred by and suddenly we have arrived in Week 4. It Is always wonderful to see the School bounce back into life as the students return from holidays and settle into their new classes and routines. We are delighted to have welcomed many new families to our School and look forward to getting to know all of you throughout the year.
Our new Early Years Centre and Administration building has been a delightful addition to the campus which we are proud to share with everyone. The learning environments are looking incredible, thanks to the dedication of our Early Years team. The building will be officially commissioned later in the term, and we warmly invite our wider community to join us for the launch of the Centre on Saturday 5 April from 9 am to 12 pm. More details will be shared by our Community Relations team.
The school year began with a Welcome Back and Blessing of the Backpacks assembly in Week 1, followed by Parent Information sessions, the Commissioning of our Student Leaders, and First Aid Focus training for Years 3 to 6 students during Week 2. Our Student Leaders commenced their duties by leading lunchtime clubs and ensuring the flags are flying on campus. The leaders have already impressed us with their dedication to their roles, innovative ideas and willingness to support one another.
A wonderful inclusion in our school event cycle has been the commencement of weekly Monday Worship services, led by Assistant Chaplain, Mrs Tearle, ably assisted by our Chapel Captain, Nicola. The services provide opportunities for the children to connect and learn about life and love through Readings, prayer and song.
The fun continued in Week 3 with the Year 3 to 6 Inter-House Swimming Carnival at the MARC, and the inaugural Kindy to Year 2 Junior Splash held at our campus. Huge thanks to Mrs Fazzolari for her amazing efforts in organising these fantastic events The whole school Bush Dance on Thursday was another example of our school community thriving, demonstrating a culture of joy and connection. It is always wonderful to see children and families from our three campuses forging bonds and celebrating life through dance.
I’d like to express my gratitude to the amazing team of staff we have the privilege of working alongside every day and thank our fabulous families for your positivity and support. We look forward to many more adventures together as the term unfolds.
Kind regards
Mrs Natalie Burbage
